Hi! We, the Carbonaras, are dog lovers and proud pawparents to Jewel and Houston. John and I both telework so we are often home with the pups. Jewel is a lover of all people and gets along with other dogs. She is always up for belly rubs and will shower you with kisses. Even though she is older and slower, we are not comfortable having Jewel around cats or rodent type pets. She’s a little too curious!

My dog Rudy is a 10 lb Cavapoo. He is friendly and prefers small dogs to play with. He is 6 years old and currently lives with me and my teenage daughter and one dog-friendly cat named Angel. Rudy's favorite activities are playing ball and going for walks. We live in a townhouse in Brambleton and have a small fenced yard for potty breaks and lots of parks and trails for walks.

Part time “empty nesters” (youngest visits on breaks from college), two sweet dogs that love each other. We typically board them (together) when traveling but interested in trying this “dog swapping” idea!

My family adopted Tippy in 2016 from a rescue and she is very friendly and good-natured. She enjoys going for walks and napping. One unique thing about Tippy is she has never played with toys. We also have a second dog, Dottie, who is a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix that we adopted in 2022. Dottie has a lot of energy and likes to play fetch. She is very skittish around strangers and other animals she doesn’t know. Dottie is afraid of the vacuum and will bark at and try to bite it. I have not observed her with small children, but I don’t recommend it at this time. She would need to meet a potential dog watcher at least once beforehand. We live in a single family home with an unfenced yard in Brambleton. We walk both our dogs twice a day and take them out in the yard on a leash at least three times a day. Our oldest daughter is away at college and we have a 16-year old daughter still at home.

Hi! I'm a first-time furmama and have been for 8 years to my Bella. She is a gentle playful Maltese who thinks she owns the world! Loves attention and humans. She is quite a barker (typical of her breed) when she sees other dogs. She does have some friends but her social circle is limited to 4 dogs. She loves to cuddle and being chased. Did I mention she loves attention?

Myself and my husband love dogs so much that we adopted one from India and brought her to US. She’s Margazhi, our first daughter - a lucky charm for us. I’ve been an active volunteer of Blue cross of India and been part of rescues and petcare. Margazhi is a fun playful girl , loves people, very gentle with kids (rather doesn’t go near kids - I know it as I have an infant), always looking to play with other dogs her height and temperament.

We are empty-nesters with one dog and we like to travel. Jaxy is a rescue from another family. She is very sweet but suffers from a bit of anxiety (Covid dog), but is well-behaved. She is very mellow except she needs leash manners (pulls) and likes to jump on people to give them a hug. Since we’ve had her (6 months), she has never had an accident in our house. She can be a bit mouthy when she plays but has been around my 2 year old grandson and it hasn’t been a problem.

I live in Broadlands and travel often so I’d love a reliable pet partner to trade off care! I don’t have a fenced in yard but would be open to discussing watching your dog in your home if necessary.

He is fine with other dogs, but picky about who he plays with, he’s not mean, he will just ignore other pups. Belly rubs and treats are his favorite! We can watch the occasional dog as long as they are good with little kids and don’t shed too much!

Gypsy is a well behaved dog and does agility. She is somewhat high energy but fairly gentle in playing with other dogs. She is a very sweet girl and has never growled at anyone.

Sandy is a lovable cuddle bug. She just likes to lay around and run at the dog park in our neighborhood. She is very gentle.

We have a sweet havanese abs bichon mix. She’s a sweet pup who’s very people friendly. She doesn’t like to wear a collar. She’s okay around other dogs but prefers her space. She does tend to get into stuff once in a while.

She loves to be pet, given treats, and allowed plenty of time to nap!

Cujo, born in the summer of 2023 is a playful and friendly dog who has limitless energy when playing with other pups, but is always glad to rest when everyone is done playing! He can stay in his crate up to 6-7 hours and has never had an accident in the house since coming home in September of 2023. He is the sweetest!! We love to hike, play in our wide open backyard, and take trips all over the place. Would love to meet some dog friends!

Roxy is so lovable especially if you feed her cheese! She’s a bit older but still playful. She gets along well with other dogs, even the big ones.

He is learning to ignore dogs on walks (leave it and walk past) - He needs some direction to “relax” and do nothing - Will sleep in the crate and needs the downtime to avoid being cranky! - 2 short walks per day and a schedule (that we can share) to be followed as closely as possible - He is calm and a very gentle soul
