I'm Blake, and my two babies are Motley (Boxer) and Rose (Golden). My previous dog was a lovely girl named Riley, nicknamed Boogie (Boxer). My boyfriend and I have these two playful pups that would love playmates. They both love puppy preschool, walking on the trail, and are looking forward to trips to GA mountains and the beach over the next two seasons. We'd be interested in meeting at dog friendly places with dogs of similar age or with similar puppy energy. We are up for helping with pet sitting but don't take many trips out during the year that we don't intend on taking the pups but can't say we won't ever need it because we have families out of state that we visit as well! Please feel free to reach out if you want a playmate for your babies or need assistance with sitting. As far as the pups, they do well with boundaries and can also play for hours before snoozing on moms lap for the next few. They are crated at night as they are still young and 99% potty trained (always room for oopsies but haven't had accidents for about 2 months since they've began to give cues of needing to go potty then by sitting or barking/whine by the back door). Motley is adorable but still working on "down," and he's a curious counter surfer. He doesn't destroy things, but as a puppy, he'd take any piece of food that falls on the floor. He is a massive mommas boy and all-day cuddler. Rosie is your typical golden pup. She's a plopper! And will plop right off the couch looking for a belly rub. She is so sweet but a goof! Anything she sees, she will put in her mouth and trot off like she's the cutest thing on earth. Fresh load of laundry? "I'll take this sock," slippers, anything, and she will be so pleased with herself. They are both very treat driven, but she is also very toy driven! She loves her balls! Her favorite is the wool dryer ball that fell out, and it's been her toy ever since she laid eyes on it. She will launch any toy across the room or by your face because she can play around by herself for hours without a care in the world. Yes, that includes the small nylabone toys, stuffed, ropes, and balls. She loves sticks! As with any puppy, anyone sitting would get the full run down, but they are both their own pup with their own personalities to love. They are so sweet, loving, and playful.

Moose

Norfolk, VA

  Breed: German Shorthaired Pointer

  Weight: 70 lbs

  Age: 1 year old puppy

  Gender: Male

Callie is my “first born” fur baby. We have been together for over 3 years now. I found her on Craigslist from a local rescue. She is my soul dog. Rue is my “second born” who I also found and rescued from someone on Craigslist that just wanted to dump her at a shelter because she was “too much”. My 3rd fur baby is Moose. My boyfriend and I got him back in January after his previous fur baby passed away from cancer. Moose is just a year old and a bit on the wild side as he is still a baby. He is a trained hunting dog so he gets a lot of exercise hunting and training with his daddy. Everyone knows me as the dog girl and it’s definitely true!! I love my fur babies. Prefer animals over humans 🐶🥰

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to hire a sitter for puppy boarding in Chesapeake?
Trading puppy sitting with other dog parents in Chesapeake is absolutely free. WoofyClub charges a small membership of $49/year and it comes with a 30-day trial. You can absolutely use WoofyClub for free and still connect with other parents if you are not in a rush to put your own request in.
How do I contact a Chesapeake sitter for puppy boarding?
You can chat with any dog sitter through our messaging feature. We encourage your to trade phone numbers when you meet up for your first playdate to form a personal connection.
How many sitters provide puppy boarding in Chesapeake?
There are 6 sitters in Chesapeake.
How long will it take for me to find a puppy boarding sitter in Chesapeake?
It depends on your needs and the sitter's availability. We've seen people confirm their plans in as short as a few hours but typically it takes a week. It takes a few days to hear back from the community and then a few more days to meet up for a playdate to make sure the puppies are compatible and everyone is comfortable with the necessary care. If you're gone for longer trips (anything longer than an extended weekend), we also encourage a trial night to be absolutely sure.
How experienced are sitters providing puppy boarding in Chesapeake?
All sitters on WoofyClub are current dog or puppy parents. For older members, they might have reviews as well on their profile. Do not hesitate to ask them more!
My dog has special needs. Can I find dog boarding on WoofyClub that can accommodate my dog’s needs?
Yes absolutely. We've matched up families with service dogs, diabetic dogs, senior dogs, puppies, etc. Make sure to discuss it with the host family and also to include it in your profile. Everyone's very accommodating but it's better not to provide any surprises :)
What if my dog is not yet spayed or neutered?
That's totally ok. When creating your profile, you'll be asked if your dog has been spayed or neutered. While there are fewer families willing to take in a dog that hasn't been spayed or neutered, many families are open to it still.
What if my dog hasn't been fully vaccinated?
In general, your dogs need to be fully vaccinated. However, that might not be possible for puppies. If your puppy is too young to get vaccinated and you have it scheduled for them, please let the host know about it. We also ask about your dog's vaccination status when creating your profile. Often times, we find puppy owners swapping with each other as they're both going through the same journey.
