This seems like a great idea! Vinny is a Covid dog, but our family is OBSESSED😍 he’s pretty good with other dogs unless they’re not fixed (I think he’s jealous) He does need a fair amount of exercise. He gets walked every day for an hour. Loves chasing a ball or anything that squeaks. He would definitely not do well in a house with cats or other small pets 😋 but he does love a good cuddle!

I'm off work recovering from surgery. My Chi Chi was an emergency rescue 12 week old chihuahua, and I got him 2 days after surgery! He turned 1 year old, October 19, 2024. I'm looking for companions/friends for Chi Chi. He's slow to warm up and acts shy for a bit. If indoors, it takes about 20 minutes to warm up to another dog. Outside, it takes a handful of interactions. I'm open to swapping and play dates.

Pepper the dog is more human than dog, but will get along with other small dogs if the energy levels match. I live in a small studio apartment however I live near a dog park and take Pepper out frequently. I would love to find playmates for Pepper and share responsibilities with people if my schedule matches.

Barkley is an almost 1 year-old French bulldog who is just a new soul full of joy and love and he’s so happy all the time he still learning how to walk on a leash and we’re still learning different tricks. I have a degree in Behavioural Science, and I strongly believe that all dogs are good, and just need to have a safe and stimulating environment, and a person who can learn how the dog communicates. Punishment is never ok, and positive reinforcement should be given freely. I’m a night person. I have some arthritic and connective tissue disorders, but I always walk my dog at least 45 minutes a day (if not 1.5 hours), through the residential streets and to the local off leash. I allow him to sniff, and be autonomous—it’s his walk, not mine.

Little is a rescue, we got her during Covid when she was 5 so she doesn’t know how to play and takes a few mins to warm up to new people. She only wants to sleep and cuddle with her people. She will follow you wherever you go but if you go upstairs you will have to carry her!

We’re a family of 5 - 2 human adults, 2 human babies(9 and 6 as of Nov 24) and 1 giant fur baby. We usually go away for a long ish vacation once a year and have been paying a lot of money for boarding. This sounds like a great option for those who don’t have family who can manage/handle their dogs. We also play competitive basketball and need to attend games around GTA and there maybe times when we have overnight stays. We’re blessed to be near tonnes of dog parks so our bear visits multiple dog parks at various times of the day. He’s a pretty popular dog in our neighborhood with a lot of friends. He’s loves his human brothers and would also knock them over for the tiniest of treats.

Our family moved to Toronto from Vietnam just over a year ago! We adopted our cat and Luna while in Vietnam and they love it here. Luna and I love going on walks at Cedarvale Park or on the Beltline trail. She loves playing with other dogs at the dog park and tries really hard to play with our cat. She plays fetch with dryer balls and loves snacks, too!

Joy is an amazing, friendly and loving Border used to spending fun times with kids as little as newborns. Does not go on furniture, is very trained, loves to play ball and fetch, loves to hug and cuddle. Friendly to all dogs

Hi my name is Billie and I am a dog trainer! My specialty is separation anxiety so I know how tough it can be to leave your dog alone sometimes. My own dog is old and doesn't love being left alone for longer than 3 hours so it would be nice to swap care with other people in the area. My husband is also a big dog lover. We also have pet rats but they have their own room and are kept separate from dogs.

Polar is very active and loves long walks, he is very playful and loves high energy dogs, but also respect if the other party is shy. He can be very vocal outside but behaves perfectly indoors.

Hello - Rex is as smart, sweet and fun as he is cute! Rex likes going on long walks on crowded streets, loves attention and new friends of all human ages and dog sizes! Rex dislikes balloons, squirrels stealing from bird feeder and unfortunately he HATES being alone. We are looking for playdates- a few hours usually weekends so we can go out as a family and enjoy ourselves and not rush back home to save him from his abandonment issues.

Hi there! My dog Mia is a 6 month old mixed bulldog. She is so sweet, loving and affectionate and wants nothing more to hug-and-be-hugged. She is very playful when the other dog is willing and will submit when she is sensing anxiety from another dog or animal. Mia is almost the perfect dog, minus some stubbornness in her walking- I am convinced she thinks she’s a human and wants to have some say in our daily walks! Mia has completed 18 weeks of puppy school and is pretty well trained; her next training will be as a Therapy Dog! She is very treat motivated and loves to sleep! She truly is a joy and I would love for others to get to experience her as well- I would also love for her to make some friends for potential future playdates!

Dog mom to Riley for over 15 years! And you wouldn’t be able to tell he’s over 15 unless you try talking to him and he ignores you because he’s mostly deaf ;). He’s still got a lot of spunk…can jump on and off the couch and loves to go outside for walks. He’s a very low maintenance dog. He sleeps through the night as long as he gets to sleep with someone. But he doesn’t crowd you. He loves treats. And while he has a heart condition you’d never know. He has one pill in the am and once in the pm and takes it easily when it’s wrapped in a small piece of processed chicken :). He’s the sweetest little munchkin! As for me, I’m retired so I spend a lot of time at home or going for extra long walks. I generally walk 7km a day but obviously not with Riley. lol. I’ve had dogs all my life and tbh I think I like dogs more than humans lol. In my spare time, when I’m not traveling the world, I volunteer with the Toronto Humane Society and want to take home every dog I see! Definite job hazard. Lol

Dog lovers!

We have a sweet, gentle and playful little dog named Happy. She loves people and dogs and would love to have a friend stay with us. Happy loves to go for walks and we are out several times a day at least every 4 or 5 hours and often sooner and we would love to bring a friend along. There is usually someone home and so Happy is not alone much but if she is it's never more than a few hours. Happy is a total member of our family and goes on furniture and sleeps in my bed or hers wherever she chooses. However, she has short little legs and a long body (kind of like a dachshund) so long staircases aren't good for her and we use stairs for sofas and the bed she sleeps in. I would be happy to bring her stairs if she stays with you. We live around Bathurst and Sheppard/Wilson Ave area. It would be great to find someone she would like to stay with if we go away, or even for a day outing, and for playdates.

We are a loving family who absolutely loves animals! We have 4 cats who genuinely think they are dogs. We adopted Daisy in April from the Toronto humane society. She came from a litter of 11 and 9 of them were surrendered. We absolutely fell in love with Daisy and took her home to be apart of our family. She will be 1 years old on December 12th. She might be our first dog but growing up we were the family that babysat our friends dogs (and other animals) while they went away. Looking forward to chatting!

Hi all! I’m Biscuit’s Mom. I rescued Biscuit from the mean Texan streets 2 years ago (Nov 2022). Biscuit was in really bad shape and it took a while to get him back to health, socialize him and help him be the smart, playful, loving dog he is today. Addy takes a while to warm up to people, although I got her when she's around 9 months old I'm her second family and not sure what happened previously. She loves walk and having her ball thrown for her. She's unsure about kids, especially when they bounce balls near her she will let them know. Addy is really smart and knows a lot of commands including cuddle if you're lucky enough to get one once she's comfortable :).
