Dog Boarding near Sunrise, FL

Hi! My name is Cecilia, and I'm looking for a family that is willing to trade dog sitting with us. I'm not looking to oay or get paid for dog sitting, just to create a relationship of mutual favors. We travel quite often, and my boarding experiences haven't been the greatest.. i feel my dogs do my best staying with family. However, my family adopted other dogs recently, and I dont want to impose and run out of favors. Only those that have pets and travel can relate :) I do have 2 dogs, a 9 yr old shih tzu and a 12 yr old yorkie. The yorkie normally stays with my friend, the other one does well with pretty much anything!. They are quiet and do not go on furniture much. They are also crate trained. Benji loves to play fetch if you let him, 24 hrs a day. They are vaccinated and on a veterinary plan. They each balance food and ask to go potty. We are an empty nester couple with 3 kids spread all over the country and would love to find a play friend and host family for our retired rescue Greyhound, Kit when we travel to visit them. He’s a cuddler who thinks he’s a lap dog, stays mostly on his bed but we do let him up on a covered futon to snuggle with us at times. He sleeps most of the day on his bed and gets playful in the evenings with his stuffed toys. He’s not an outside dog, only goes out to use the bathroom (our yard) or go on walks with a leash around the neighborhood. Not a barker unless he’s playing or wants something. Very gentle around kids and old people. My mom, who’s 83, watches him for weeks at a time, although she doesn’t walk him, she loves his mellow loving personality. He doesn’t like being laid on top of because he’s kinda bony, he’s a retired athlete, very muscular. He will get the zoomies and run for about 30 seconds in a yard (awesome to watch run), but won’t run in the dog park. Only sniffs other dogs/people, but he’s very curious about other dogs. Never aggressive and will whimper around other Alpha dogs out of fear but is affectionate/playful with other dogs, even real tiny ones, which he fears the most. Raised on a track the 1st 3 years of his life, not been around many other breeds but does great at the Welleby dog park with all breeds. Hope this gives a good snap shot of Kit. This is our 2nd Greyhound and they’re all similar. Their size misrepresents how gentle, loving and mellow they are.
